1. Identification details

The CarpRun mobile app and the carprun.app website are owned and administered by the Reel Squad team, referred to below as "the app owner".

2. Definitions

In this document, the following terms have the meanings below:

"We", "our", "ours", "CarpRun"

Refers to the Reel Squad team, which develops and administers the CarpRun app.

"App"

Refers to the CarpRun mobile app, available on Google Play and the App Store, as well as the carprun.app website and all features, services and content offered through them.

"User", "you", "your"

Any individual who downloads, installs, creates an account on or uses the CarpRun app. The User implicitly undertakes to comply with these rules and is responsible for their actions within the app.

"Service"

Providing the User with access to the features of the CarpRun app, including rod management, the catch journal, baiting sessions, statistics, cloud sync and other digital tools dedicated to carp fishing.

"Account"

The personal profile created by the User in the app, through which data is accessed and synced features are used.

"PRO version" (Premium)

The optional subscription to premium features, purchased and managed through Google Play Billing or the App Store (Apple), with automatic renewal as described in section 6.

CarpRun is a digital journal for recreational fishing and an assistant for anglers passionate about carp fishing, offering tools for rod monitoring, managing fishing sessions, logging catches with automatic weather data, tracking baiting and advanced statistical analysis of your own activity.

3. User registration

3.1 Creating an account

Using the CarpRun app requires creating an account. You can register through:

• Email address and password;
• Your Google account; or
• Your Apple account.

3.2 The User's obligations at registration

To benefit from the services offered, you undertake and warrant:

1. To provide real, accurate and complete information about yourself, as requested in the registration form;
2. To keep your registration details up to date so that they remain accurate at all times;
3. Not to create multiple accounts fraudulently or in order to circumvent the app's restrictions.

The app owner reserves the right (but not the obligation) to verify the accuracy of the information provided. If inaccurate information is found, we reserve the right to refuse access to the services or to suspend the account.

3.3 Account security

The account is accessed with a password known only to you. You are fully responsible for:

• Keeping your password and login details safe;
• All actions carried out through your account;
• Not disclosing your login details to third parties;
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

One account grants access to the app for one person only.

3.4 Minimum age

3.5 Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions is confirmed by:

• Ticking the corresponding checkbox when creating your account;
• Using the app after first installing it;
• Making a payment for the PRO version.

You are responsible for checking the current version of the Terms and Conditions each time you use the app.

4. Use of the app and user conduct

The app may be used exclusively for: managing your own fishing sessions, logging catches, tracking baiting, analyzing your personal statistics and using the other features offered.

Use of the CarpRun app is permitted only to people who comply with local fishing laws and regulations. The app does not replace a fishing licence and does not release you from the obligation to know and follow the rules of the venue or of the area where you fish.

The app may not be used for:

• Any illegal activity or any activity that breaches fishing regulations;
• Illegal or fraudulent payments;
• Entering false data for fraudulent purposes or to manipulate statistics;
• Posting or transmitting defamatory, threatening, obscene or indecent material;
• Content or comments that could damage our reputation;
• Infringing the copyright of the Reel Squad team.

We reserve the right to delete immediately and without notice any content that breaches these rules, as well as to suspend or close accounts that repeatedly break them.

5. Required permissions

For the app to work as a complete fishing assistant, we will ask for the following permissions on your phone:

• Location (GPS): We use location data exclusively to import and display accurate weather conditions for the area where you are fishing. We do not track you for any other purpose and we do not store your location history.
• Battery management and alarms: So that you never miss a run or a baiting reminder, the app needs to run in the background and bypass the aggressive battery optimization imposed by the operating system.
• Camera and photo gallery: We request access strictly so that you can take photos of your catches, attach them to your journal and save them alongside the session details.

6. The PRO version and payment methods

6.1 PRO features

CarpRun is free for its core features. The app offers an optional PRO (Premium) subscription, which unlocks:

• Removal of ads from the app;
• Access to real-time weather data (temperature, pressure, wind);
• Advanced statistics (top lakes, top baits, top rods, advanced filtering);
• CSV export of your entire history;
• Unlimited history of sessions and catches.

6.2 Prices

The prices shown on Google Play and the App Store include VAT, are set entirely by the app owner, are not negotiable and may change (a right reserved exclusively to the owner). The price displayed at the time of purchase is the final price you will pay.

6.3 Payment and automatic renewal

The PRO subscription is subject to Apple's and Google's in-app purchase policies:

• Payment will be charged to your Google account or Apple ID upon confirmation of the purchase;
• Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the same price, unless it is cancelled manually;
• Management and cancellation: you can manage or cancel the subscription at any time from your system account settings (Google Play → Subscriptions, or App Store → Subscriptions);
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, during which you keep access to the PRO features.

6.4 Payment methods

All payments are processed exclusively and securely through Google Play Billing and the Apple App Store. CarpRun has no access to your bank card details and does not store financial information.

We are not responsible for payments processed incorrectly or for errors occurring within Google's or Apple's payment systems.

6.5 Invoicing

For each purchase, the invoice is issued and made available through your Google Play or Apple account. For specific invoicing requests, you can contact us directly.

7. Refund policy

7.1 Refund requests

The refund policy for the PRO subscription is handled exclusively by Apple and Google, under their own commercial terms. Any refund request must be initiated through your Google Play or Apple account.

7.2 Digital content

Legal basis: art. 16 letter m) of Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014.

8. Copyright and intellectual property

8.1 Protected content

All content of the app and the website — the source code, design, texts and help texts, images, graphics, scripts, logos, symbols, audio-visual materials, the badge system and any other elements — is the exclusive property of the Reel Squad team or its suppliers, and is protected under copyright law and the laws on intellectual and industrial property.

8.2 Usage restrictions

As a user, you may not:

• Modify the app or the website, in whole or in part;
• Reproduce, copy, sell or exploit the app in any manner;
• Use our materials for commercial purposes without written consent;
• Distribute, transmit, display or publish the content without written consent;
• Decompile, reverse engineer or extract the source code;
• Create derivative works based on the app;
• Remove any marks, logos or identifying elements;
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with our services.

8.3 Licence granted to the User

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the CarpRun app for its intended purposes, under these Terms and Conditions. This licence does not transfer ownership of the app or any part of it to you.

8.4 Reporting infringements

To report infringements of intellectual property rights, you can contact us at [email protected]. Using any element of the app without written consent is punishable under applicable law.

9. User content

9.1 Rights over your own data

The catches, photos, notes, sessions and data you enter in the app belong entirely to you. CarpRun claims no ownership over this data and does not use it for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.

9.2 Technical licence granted

By using the cloud sync feature, you grant us the minimum technical permission needed to store, transfer and display this data on your devices. This licence ends automatically when your account is deleted.

9.3 Anonymized data

We may use aggregated, anonymized data (catch rates, baits used, time periods) to improve the app and generate global statistics that help the angling community, without this data ever being linked to your identity.

10. Prohibited uses

In addition to the other restrictions set out here, the app and its content may not be used:

1. For any unlawful purpose;
2. To ask others to carry out or take part in unlawful acts;
3. To breach any national or European regulations, rules, laws or ordinances, including those concerning fishing;
4. To infringe our intellectual property rights or those of others;
5. To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, intimidate or discriminate on any grounds;
6. To submit false or misleading information;
7. To upload or transmit viruses or any other code that affects the app's functionality;
8. To collect or track other users' personal information;
9. For spam, phishing, scraping or other unauthorized automated activity;
10. For any obscene or immoral purpose;
11. To interfere with or circumvent the app's security features.

We reserve the right to suspend or close your account in the event of any prohibited use.

11. Limitation of liability

11.1 General limitations

The Reel Squad team and its collaborators make no statement, promise or guarantee regarding the fishing results obtained by using the app. CarpRun is a digital assistant, a tool for organizing and analyzing — we do not guarantee catches, weights or successful fishing trips.

11.2 Assumption of risk by the user

11.3 Specific exclusions

Although we make every effort to keep data accurate, we are not responsible for:

• Errors in data supplied by third parties (for example, weather forecasts);
• Situations where the GPS signal or internet connection is unavailable at the venue;
• Alarms that fail to trigger because of restrictive phone settings (extreme battery-saving modes, manufacturer-imposed restrictions);
• Data loss caused by a lost password, by failure to observe basic account security measures, or by faults in your mobile device;
• Material, financial or other damages resulting from use of the app;
• Errors, omissions, interruptions, defects or delays in operation or transmission;
• Theft, destruction of or unauthorized access to data caused by breaches of the user's account;
• The content, accuracy or practices of third-party websites linked to from the app.

11.4 Weather data

The weather data shown in the app is sourced from third-party providers and is for information only. We do not guarantee that this data is 100% accurate and we accept no liability for decisions taken solely on the basis of it.

12. Service availability

We do everything we can to keep the CarpRun app running without interruption, but we do not guarantee 100% availability of the service. We may carry out planned downtime for maintenance, updates or infrastructure improvements.

We will try to let you know in advance whenever possible, through in-app notifications or by email.

13. Force majeure and fortuitous events

We will not be held liable for delays or failures in delivering the services in the event of force majeure or a fortuitous event, including but not limited to:

• Changes in laws or regulations;
• Outages of Google infrastructure (Firebase, Play Billing) or Apple infrastructure (App Store, StoreKit);
• Wars, acts of terrorism, riots;
• Fires, earthquakes, nuclear accidents, floods;
• Strikes, extreme weather conditions;
• Cyberattacks by hackers or problems at internet service providers.

14. Notices and communications

The User agrees that all communications under this agreement will take place by email, at [email protected], or through push notifications in the app. Such a communication is valid upon simple proof from the app owner that it was sent.

15. Complaints procedure

Any complaint about access, use, registration or similar matters should be sent to us directly by email at [email protected].

The complaint will be recorded and you will receive a written reply, at the email address given, within a maximum of 10 business days.

16. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes at any time to the content of the app, to our policies and to the terms and conditions of use. We will make an effort to inform users of significant changes through in-app notifications or by email.

If you do not agree with the changes, please stop using the app. Continuing to use the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.

17. Governing law and disputes

This agreement, and any use of the app, is governed by Romanian law.

The parties will attempt to resolve any disagreement amicably. Failing that, disputes will be settled by the competent courts of Romania.

18. Final provisions

These terms govern Users' access to the CarpRun app and the carprun.app website. If additional features or services are introduced later, they will be subject to the same rules and conditions, except where they are given separate terms.

By using the app, you accept the conditions described here and agree that these documents have the value of a contract tacitly accepted between the User and the app owner.

These Terms and Conditions are supplemented by the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. Where contradictions arise, the specific provisions of those other documents take precedence.
